The Crimson Court adds a dungeon region, The Courtyard, which naturally comes with a whole host of new enemy types. It’s a game I had a lot of fun with last year despite (or because of) its generally unforgiving learning curve and myriad of cruel ways to lose characters. It’s a game where character’s grasp on reality can slip with enough stress and terror and it’s a pretty good dungeon crawling experiencing to boot. Thematically about vampires and their damned ilk, there will be plenty of new content and new enemies that can tear you to pieces.ĭarkest Dungeon is known for being a difficult experience where characters face off against all sorts of unnatural and unholy monsters in an effort to reclaim the estate that is yours by birthright. The very brutal and fun dungeon crawler will get its first expansion quite soon.
